My Little Boy Poem by Narelle Pickens

My Little Boy

To small feet
Two little legs where will they take him know body knows
Two small hands with ten tiny fingers what will pass through them only God knows
One intelligent mind what life will he choose I pray the straight and narrow he will pursue
Two bright blue eyes what will they see everywhere around him drugs will be
One beautiful heart beating it will be
The cries of the world his delicate ears will hold
Ruby red lips what will they taste
I pray to God for evil surrounds him everywhere
For drug dealers and pushes the scum of the earth how would you be for your precious child receiving drugs by thee
Fear our Lord God for your day will come the Lord God will take your soul so you won't be whole
I pray all my teachings his conscious he hears so his beautiful body will be safe and whole
The world will be cruel with wrong choices he makes
Mummy will talk till she's blue in the face
So choose your road and friends wisely my dear boy because drugs will surround you all of your life
May the choices you make keep you warm and safe
So that your little boy has ten tiny toes ten little fingers a heart that beats a life full of goodness is all what he needs
So God keep him safe from harm I pray for my dear little boy is all I can say
