My Life Without You Poem by Patricia Bankhead

My Life Without You

My life without you is like
A clock without the time
A rich man without a penny
A poet without a rhyme

My life without you is like
The sun without a glow
A star without a twinkle
The wind without a blow

My life without you is like
A butterfly without wings
A lion without a roar
A bird without a song to sing

When you're not around
Life seems desolate and odd
Something just isn't quite right
Like an empty soul without God
