My Life Poem by Arthur Carman

I live my life with the best intention
I've done some things I rather not mention
the good that is in me outweighs the bad
and for that I can ask forgiveness
from those that I have hurt and done wrong
it was not me for i'd yet to be found
but here I stand with open heart
wanting to move forward without causing more pain
Let me go and find yourself within
For I can no longer bear our suffering
although we are good in nature
wanting only what is best for each other
it is for that I am most thankful
Let me go and free yourself
to live the life that is before you
sprout your wings and fly to the sun
never look back to that which has past
live now and forever be free
for I will always love you
