My Last Rites Poem by Mubeen Sadhika

My Last Rites

Rating: 5.0

The solemn funeral
took place in the
humid desert
trail of mourners
walked on the
thirsty hot sand.

The fragrance of
those miserable flowers
ending the path
blooming to survive
in that gloomy evening
unweighing all burdens.

Wrapped in melancholic
green shiny cloth
grounded with
comfort case
dampened soil in pit
to be laid to feast.

This piece is an imagination of the end, death so to speak. Every one of us will soon or later will be 6 ft. underground. As of now I don't like to think about it.Enjoy life for we have only one, not two, not three but one. Anyway, this is great dark and negative poetry.
