My Last Request Poem by Heather Burns

My Last Request

As I look toward heaven
and my earthly journey
is ending
GOD grant me the pleasure
of one last request.

TO MY FATHER

Father as I approach the
light
be there waiting for me
when I see your face again
the journey will be all
worthwhile.

Mother wait for us, we will
meet you on the silver shore
sit by the crystal sea
watch the beautiful sunset

Then approach the golden gate
my brothers await us
along with sweet connections
of yesterday
It will be a glorious meeting.
