My Lady Poem by Wakefield Mahon

My Lady

My lady is like a springtime morn
Dancing in fields which flowers adorn
My lady is like a summers day
Watching the little children play
My lady is like an autumn eve
As sunset matches the color of leaves
My lady is like a winter's night
For in the dark lies the promise of light

Every season of the year
My lady fills my soul with cheer
So, like a rose petal, soft and sweet
I'll lay my kiss upon her cheek
