My Inner Demon Poem by Brendon Secrist

They say that everyone has a dark side,
A side unseen by all their friends.
Mine is one of the few that has rarely been seen,
When this inner demon takes hold inside of me.

Its my black rage that gives it power,
Its anger and rage magnified by a thousand thoughts of revenge.
Its rage brings nothing but death and sadness,
No one controls my inner demon but me, and sometimes,
even I don't control it.

My roar of rage is long and loud,
You messed with a deadly force,
And forced my hand,
By messing with those I hold dear.

You've fallen for good,
One of the few who dared to oppose me,
and my inner demon from hell.
Your one the few who survived,
To tell the tale of my inner demon's power,
