my hearts desire is to live in new Jerusalem
I pray for the day, the Lord comes for me
I am so grateful for my Saviour
for dying on the cross to set my sin free.
\my hearts desire is for life eternally
forever to worship Lord God Almighty
new Jerusalem his promised reward
he went to prepare for you and me.
\my hearts desire, there always to be
always day there and never night
never in dark where evil lurks
Lord I'm ready for my heavenly flight.
\my hearts desire is to see
new Jerusalem descending from heaven above
prepared by him for you and me
life eternally his promise of love.
