Hearts filled with emptiness
Souls craving for peace
Destiny conquered by loneliness
We kept on, trying to fill the space
we got divided by small issues
Trying to outsmart one another
We forgot, we wept making blood our tissues
Losing a chance of being together
Clans defined our country
Poverty subdivided our wealth
Gun shots become temporary
Giving bombs our breath
Leaders mistook our innocence
Foreigners started owning our lands
We only had room for patience
Because we had no other strands
