My Heart Locket Poem by Amanda Benoit

My Heart Locket

I keep my heart locket
In my pocket
So no one can see
What it’s done to me
So no one can see
What it’s gonna be
I keep my heart locket
Locked away
So I don’t pay the price
I broke my heart locket
So I could cloak my feelings
Now you’ve found it
maybe you can do to it
What I’ve wanted to do
So maybe it won’t haunt me
And maybe it won’t taunt me.
Maybe Just maybe
I could live with my Heart locket
Around my neck and out in the open
Instead of in my pocket.
