My Heart Holds My Love Poem by Rik Bertrand

My Heart Holds My Love

The heart is fragile; it is a cup that holds our love.
The slightest nudge can spill the blood of our thoughts.
I treasure the contents with every fiber of my being.
For it holds my life's treasures, my life's desires.

Oh heart of mine, have faith in me
Warm my body and keep me free.
Oh heart of mine, I am you protector
I pray that my feelings of love you do not ignore.

Be strong and beat hard, keep my love safe
We must work together and have extreme faith.
You are fragile and I hold you oh so dear
Losing you is my one and only fear.

Fragile is my heart, as it holds my love tight,
It waits patiently for me to bring my love to light.
It holds and caressing and handles with care,
My life's love that I have yet to share.

REB (MARCH) because I have love in my heart that I have not shared yet
