My Heart Breaks...But I Have To Leave Poem by Nalini Jyotsana Chaturvedi

My Heart Breaks...But I Have To Leave

Rating: 4.8

By now,
You have
Carefully studied
And rejoiced,
In Every curve
and crevice
Of this cover
Of my soul

You and I
Have locked
Our lips
Breath exchanged
Quivering fingertips
Another of those
Happy trips

We have moaned.
In Ecstasy groaned
As our bodies,
Just adorned
The form of other
A perfect fit
My best gift

Nothing is there
Left behind
To help us
Weather
This storm
Of passion
As we in
Unison
Face Together
Dusk to dawn

So much gained
It's preordained
As we met
Seventeen years
Down the lane

A fork in path
We had to hit
You have just lust
But no love
While it's love for me
As in you
I do trust

Not good enough
Ever for you
Just for sex
You want me though
How much longer
Can I stay
Left with one choice
To walk away

With your imprints
On my mind
My soul and body
Redefined
My paths to innocence
Have all been closed
And to no body
Can I ever disclose
Why my heart
Hurts so much
Why my soul
Will trust
No one

Rest of journey
Will be that
Of an unknown
rivulet
Forgotten and gone
As it gets lost
Back in to sand
Far away
From oceans
Grand

And to no body Can I ever disclose Why my heart Hurts so much. Think you already have Nalini! An unconditional love maybe? You certainly have a way of expressing your inner feelings. Well done.
