My Grief Poem by Debbrata Sarkar

My Grief

Rating: 5.0

I know why you let me write.
Though live in my inner site
Sometimes you play with me.
You are my part
I love thee.

Oh, heart broker! you are not so
Like the bosoms I have more.
They come in my glee
And quit in sadness.
You hurt but stay with me.

Last year I saw you to play
With the poor in a famine day.
They were in rag dresses
And crying for bread
A discolored rainbow I saw in their faces.

You inspire me to do better.
Like the defeated and sufferer
You were, you are and will be
As long as I will live
(My eternal friend) with me.

Pride, might and happiness all
Will go away from my funeral.
But you will still stay with me
Unlike my relatives
During my last journey.
