My Grandmother And Grandfather Poem by Erimar Margaret Jessie MacPherson

My Grandmother And Grandfather

Alone this morning at Pitmillan Cottage
Where we all used to live
Where I Erimar was born
Rows of rain falling from the eves
This cottage once had a brighter generation
The walls and windows spoke to me
Of Gran and Grandad Uncle Robert
Cousin Alan Uncle George my dad James
Who shared in the joy of my beginning
These images of the love you gave me freely
And to all who came your way
I would like to think your spirits visit
Pitmillan cottage on special days
This place is ours we are all there
Our spirits can rest in peace.
