My Friend Fom Hell! Poem by Edwina Aleme

To you, who lay deep in my heart
Buried in the sanctuary of my thought,
For many years you remained, not willing
to go away...

Reminiscing every morning
before i start my day,
wondering and hoping
when this pain will go away...

In years past, deep in the embers
of the devils cocoon,
you stepped out as an angel assigned
for doom...
While i saw in you a devil,
my inner man saw you an angel...

Like toxic, you almost killed me,
With love so unclean and sour
While mine clean and pure..
Heaviness weighed me down
at the sight of you....
It seemed pefectly, permanent and true....

Still in this dungeon called fear!
You reinged supreme at the gate,
of my heart as i bear, opening and
shutting me as you please....

A crazy brandish beast you became
letting loose all your vigour for destruction,
setting the stages of our lives for detonation
and explosion...
leaving me wounded and disgraced....

Like a hornet, you stung me!
and dragged me into your net,
I broke free from your prison when you
Were't looking,
Wanted to scamper but..... No!
I took a fast run,
Far, far away from your incessant
madness..

Adios, my friend..
Indeed from hell you came
Just to play a game...
Yours truely, ME
Your once caged lover and friend......
