My Fourteen Feb Poem by Pallav Bhandari

My Fourteen Feb

They cheer for fourteen Feb
Because it's their day together
Promises they make
To live and love forever
Lucky guys they are
To hold hands, hug and kiss
Parks, cinema and restaurants
Turns their day a perfect bliss

But my fourteen is not in February
Not in June December or January
It is not an ordinary date
But a heart beating miles away
It's her soul waiting
Waiting me looking my way
And whenever I see a smiling face
My heart runs in a race
To materialize the wishes
Her innocent patient wishes
To show all the love in loads of kisses

But it is just a heart that runs
I stay here with problems more than tons
My eyes search her in old messages
Memories circulate through aortic passages
So her image is nutrition of my brain
Say it electricity or coal for a train
Every moment I miss her
Every day I wish for her
So fourteen is not a day
Neither her nor mine as we say
But still every year I wish she was here
As my Valentine she would take my care.
