My Fear Poem by Jojoba Mansell

My Fear

My fear isn’t losing,
nor being second best.
I can’t always be the winner,
or pass each and every test.

My fear isn’t failure,
neither not making the grade.
As long as I give my all,
in every game that’s played.

My fear isn’t suffering,
to be a winner I’ll feel pain.
I will push beyond my limits,
tomorrow I will do the same.

My fear isn’t losing,
it’s that I may not give my all.
I MUST sweat for every mile,
Bleed for each shot, each catch, each ball.
