My Faith Is Supreme Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

We stood with complete silence
Not a word was exchanged at once
She was in some doubt
That is what she tried to talk about

“My faith is supreme”
“I pray and believe in Him”
I shall do no such things
That may hurt me for anything

We had met few days earlier
She had nothing but smile offer
It was enough to lure me for talk
We exchanged pleasantry whiled walked

In two days time as if heaven was with us
We said no words except honesty and trust
It was taking me away in clouds
The thunderous sound was only heard

I could sleep well in night
She was perfect match and seemed right
Night proved green with desire
I had no words to admire

Morning sun brought no surprise
It struck with unforeseen demise
She was determined not to go ahead
I went for her wish and completely read

She was sincere and understood
About the proposal that were not good
She might have sensed the danger ahead
I was motionless and felt as if completely dead
