My Dream Poem by tapira ashburton

My Dream

On the first day of July, I started to cry.
I wanted a lolly but my mom said instead she would buy me a dolly.
I sat on a chair and thought in despair.......
How would I get that lolly?

I began to dream,
of ice-cream and things.
Of sweets and lots of small treats,
Of the cake,
that my grandma used to make.

Than my dream stopped....
It just suddently popped.
I looked around
and I saw a clown

He was named Polly
and he was selling dolly's
And guess what my mother did...
Yes, she bought that dolly and forgot my lolly

Oh what a waste of time that I must rhyme,
I wish I was still in my dream
