My Destined World Poem by Tarapada Mohapatra

My Destined World

My world starts from you
to never ending infinity
of sorrows, pain and poverty
I close my eyes
pretend ignorance
resort to lies
paint a picture of hired dreams
attempt to forget
that I ever existed
the demon laughs besotting me.

I try not to see the reality
the shadows of darkness follow me
my truths disappear into the clouds
clogged in the colorless sky
I call upon you
to paint the walls
of the boundary of my conscience
I limit myself to measured falsehood and lies.

I invite the birds from the sky
mix their chirping sounds
with the scrambled words of mine
and I create a world of my experiments
I kill my past
and sacrifice my experience
my days and nights become forbidden fruits.

I frisk to catch the horses
of my imaginations
I spread my wings
like butterflies
to swig the color of destiny
I close my eyes
and see you smiling
see my destined World.
