My Dear From Miles Away Poem by Oscar Ken Elias

My Dear From Miles Away

My dear from miles away
It's been so long since May,
But please reply to what I say
To the letters I wrote today.

Many nights I look above
Wondering what you're doing;
It was summer and we were in love
And your name was on my writing.

I sent you letters but no reply
But I can't deny,
The moments that we had
Made me smile and very glad.
Until my sun up,
Until your moon shines;
Wishing you on my lap
Every single time.

We were fun and never boring
But reality is what we're lacking;
I can't touch you for all my days
So writing is the only way.

My dear from miles away
It's been so long since May,
But please reply to what I say
To the letters I wrote today.
