My Dear Cousin Poem by Hannah Dean

My Dear Cousin

The first time I saw you
I thought you were beautiful
As I got to know you
I knew you were special
To think I had such a hidden treasure
I certainly made a resurrection
In no time,
We laughed
We cried
We sang
We danced
We Acted
We modeled
We played
We gained
surely,
As life goes on
People change… Situations change
Yet in our hearts we know that our love will always remain
So remember this poem my dear cousin
For many new years to come
Let our childhood memories remain
Let our children be amazed
Let us hold hands and survive through life’s course
Let us share the joys
Let us share the sorrows
Let us cry now
Let us laugh later
Let us enjoy life together
To have something to remember
