My Dear, Beloved God, Poem by Liza Sud

My Dear, Beloved God,

Rating: 5.0

My dear, beloved God,
With Your heavenly beauty,
With Your shine, with Your height
Bring me to Your Communion!

No wonder I cry and grieve,
Looking into your depth,
without you - I can't live.
Darling, come please and change,

help me to live and breathe,
give me the clothes of silver
grant me the joy to speak -
Gift for those who were seeking.

This poem is sincere and honest, the sentiments are so heartfelt. This is the kind of prayer that helped my Dimitry free himself of alcohol and become a man at peace. This is the kind of poem that makes us love poetry. And it has the mystic quality of Russian spirituality, the focus on Communion shows this.
