My Darling Rose

Time to wake up
so hostile & dizzy

spinning round like rotten children underground

I've come to praise you, dear
still puzzled & sobbing

when I know your heart never makes a sound

open your eyes, love
somber & shaking

trust me, child
I'll never let you down

it's okay, love
follow me, love

I'm neither
horrid or soothing

crashing through the soul you finally found

*trust me*

the world won't be lost
broken or shattered

no need to keep dragging that futile cross

don't fret now
chaotic & jaded

Edens little whore even
loved & lost

scratch away those tears
don't feel
rejected or flattered

it's your bullshit drama with all the flaws

rest your head, child
defeated & conquered

just forget the pain you haven't lost

*trust me*

clutching my hand
way to
fragile & beaten

let me take you where the evil go to pray

you know I won't lie, Rose
still
unfocused & screaming

*remember that we wanted it this way*

take another look, Rose
it's so gorgeously woven

like angels cascading
madness & blasphemy

I'll carry you through hell, Rose

You'll always be so
fiercely addicting

just forget
we could have died
another day

** a note**

My darling Rose,

You'll dance until chaos, with all the shadows.
Across the face of death and halos.
I can't help it.
All I want to be is, your precious suicide.

Love,
The Madness

Poem of the Day

poet Sara Teasdale

Only in sleep I see their faces,
Children I played with when I was a child,
Louise comes back with her brown hair braided,
Annie with ringlets warm and wild.
