My Brook Poem by Rajendra padhi

My Brook

MY BROOK

In loneliest winter evening
I behold you pure and eloquent,
A song so long, so deep
Babble under the seraphic light,
As a voice of my own
Hidden somewhere in my heart,
Fall and drift in rhymes
When moon winks at me,
You journey through the hills
Crazy for an ambrosial kiss,
A companion so old
You enter into my whole,
The syllables and jingles of spring
The silver shinning crystal face,
Unfolded gently in heart’s magic door
I become the moon on your breast
Rise and fall on your waves,
You flow through my heart
Hold recognition eternal,
The music of a friend never stops
In the silences of fading summer,
I am stopped amidst the running crowd
Vexed in pain in my memory lane,
I know your hideous presence
Though far we are so close,
The time hunted us as pray
But sweet you are my dewy-dream,
My brook, I adore your flow
Gently sway through my breath,
Like snow I glide on to melt in you
Again glow on your breast as dew.
