My Brain Poem by chandani Mohan

My Brain

My thoughts always run
Faster than my hand could pen
My brain's like a clock that runs
Endlessly ticking, annoyingly accurate!

If my thoughts are faster than
I could write them down
Then my mouth is faster than that
It could say things 'hurtful'
Without the least effort on my part.

Things that go into my ear
don't often stay there,
but leaves through the other
retaining bits that
needs analyzing later!

I cannot sleep in the nights
For my brain keeps running
analyzing the bits that were stored
Though my body needs rest!

I hate it when that happens
And wish for sleep to come
but annoyingly my brain refused
and ticks away merrily
sorting and storing
ready for another verbal battle!
