My Best Friend Poem by Dragon Crenshaw

My Best Friend

Flashes of my past,
Come back to me.
Everytime I blink,
A vision appears.

The first one is,
When I was at my old school,
Getting bullied.

The next one,
I was being bullied,
And the teachers didn't stop it.

Then,
I was at the park,
Getting picked on by older guys.

Next the vision came,
So fast,
I passed out.

While I was passed out,
Visions of when I was bullied,
Swam in my head.

One of getting punched,
One of getting called names,
One of getting tripped.

One of getting ran over,
And one of my friend,
Helping me up.

She always helped,
And always stood up,
To the bullies.

She protects me,
Because of,
Two simple things.

One I'm weaker than her,
And two,
We've been friends for a long time.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I have a really good friend who I've known since preschool. She has always protected me from anyone who hurt me or made fun of me.
