My Baby She's Flying Poem by Little Eagle McGowan

My Baby She's Flying

MY BABY she's flying, she don't even have to try
Somebody done lit sumpin'
In dem Pretty blue eyes.
Her head's up in a cloud
Man she's on a high.
Wings shinin' in the light
Angel in the open skies

CHORUS:
BABY I cain't go where you
Are going.
But you just go ahead, go
On and fly.
Ain't no way to tell what
Winds a-blowin'.
And I don't really know what
Blows your mind.
For so long now the signs
Been showin',
And I'm all outa reasons
Askin' Why.
I'll just paddle this canoe
I'm a rowin',
Think its time fer you to go
Where eagles FLY.

MY baby ain't lyin', it's jes
Somethin' inside.
This little town never had
No bright city lights.
It's so easy to just say that
She ain't satisfied.
But wings were always made
For takin' flight.
