My Angelic 'Mother'

As I put my head on your lap
You caress my hair,
Lost myself in
your gentle touch,
My love for you grows more
Love, the love
I do not desire to share

You are like the sun
Of the morning
Welcoming me with
Your warm embrace
You are like the full moon
By a delightful night
Keeping me Placid,
Glimmering my face

Though, we battle with
Our colloquy swords
Though, we disharmonize
You approach me,
With your
Anchored, adept, affable mind
Implanting morals inside me,
Authentic, Noble and kind

Forever, having
Absent-minded smile
On Your Face
Laughing, making me laugh
Though, my blooper
Fetches the Dilemma
Molding our life tough
You always laugh,
You make me laugh

The truth, You are a mirror
A Clarion, classy mirror
Where I can see through
For me You sacrificed
Fortune, Fascination and fame
Everything but truth
You are only capable of love,
And love is all you See
In your eyes I can see
The real me

You had dreams,
Beautiful dreams indeed
Don't know what they were
Have no clue
You say, only one dream
You should know
The dream which came true
The dream of you

You kept me warm,
Warm in the Winter
You still keep
My heart is warmed inside
You are an open book
As I go ahead, each word
Untouched and Compelling
Though it is not the end,
It would never end
Cause you are
High as the sky
And wide

They say, -
I am a god sent to earth-
HE Gifted me my life-
True so true, -
God gave me birth-
My Angelic mother -,
You gave me birth-

Poet's Notes about The Poem

'Mother' what is mother.. A woman who has raised a child, given birth to a child says the encyclopedia
Well that's a machine language ….how about in human language well, the mother is the women who is by my side in good and bad..the Woman who never stopped believing me and never will and I am so lucky that I am blessed with two mothers first my mom(Aii) and second my sister(Tai) ….i know strange right but believe me I can't ask for more …..they both love me to death as I love them ……they are perfect

I asked some brilliant poets on this site a Question, I asked them to tell me what is the most lovable thing they love about their mother..And as i say how brilliant they are..They are kind too they did not hesitate to share their thoughts with me and giving it some of their precious time….I really want to say thank you so much to all of you. I read your poems and they are ‘perfect' everyone is so different from each other and so different way of expressing their feelings in their poems which is just incredible ……even though they have included me have different thoughts about many things but when its comes to our mother we come to only one point ' I love my mother' I guess we all do
Here are some of the brilliant poets who shared their thoughts with me…….

Kasia Fedyk (California United States; Female; 38) : I love that she gives me freedom to choose, I love her beautiful heart and the way she cares about me, listens and understands me even if she does not agree with me. Just for being who she is.
(she is such a kind woman….and I love her poems..)

Indira Babbellapati (visakhapatnam India; Female; 54) : a mother is a mother what other word can express the emotion that wraps this word? tell me if you find a bett erexpression or a synonym from your expanding lexicon this i say in utmost love for one taken for granted as a young mind put it 'mother is a great feeling! '

Urshula Davis (Atlanta, GA United States; Female; 17) : Well I love my mother's grind!

Adam Reed (hondo, texas United States; Male; 21) : my mother never stops worrying. lol she cares and wants to be there all the time no matter what. thats the most loveable thing about my mom :)

FUNNY-keeps me laughing and listening to her humorous hymns...
OPTIMISTIC-keeps on trying to reach dizzy heights without losing enthusiasm when facing failure. Keeps on encouraging me to persevere in all circumstances.
SUPPORTIVE-likes always to know how she can help - even if it's obvious that I can manage...

[as by my experience, he have liberated thoughts...in every poem of his there is always some massage or lesson for us....my favorite poem of his is 'Peace MaGents! ']

Abhimanyu Kumar.s (venkatgiri kota India; Male; 24) : it's her soul which knows only one body that's care. as soul and body make a being so is the mother and child

ViPiNS PUTHOORAN (KOLLAM/KERALA India; Male; 27) : Mother is a Goddess, in the temple of our heart we must enshrine her to adore her till the last wheeze of our life
She is the one who taught me to reach my dreams....
Mother's love is divine...
The first word we recited in our life is amma or maa.....
She is the one who always praying for our wellness....
We must care our mothers during her old age like she cared us when we were inside the womb alive without seeing the outside world....
I adore my amma....

[again a brilliant poet.... [his every poem is favorite of mine]

Shouvik Roy (Pune India; Male; 20) : umm..lovable thing...her tendency of waking me up every morning..the way she does it...and the way she has sacrificed for me over these years..

Ralph O'grantson (Accra Ghana; Male; 20) : most adorable thing about my mum and i believe a lot of mums on earth is her endurance no matter how much i make my mum cry she still loves me, she still calls to know where i am when im out late, she still wants to feed me. My mama's love is the most adorable thing about her

Unwritten Soul (Malaysia ;) : (though this poet didn't share thoughts with me on this subject due to some circumstances ….but always helped me to improve my work ….this poet is more like my boosting drink …….thank you so much)

Danny Draper (Sydney - New South Wales Australia; Male; 49) : he is one one of my favorate poet ….he told me to refer two of his poems and I must say they are full of emotions…..they really helped
1) If I am a gentleman by an ethical Life
2) Care taken from her in silent peace.

Josiah Decker (Zumbrota United States; Male; 18) : The most lovable thing about my mother is whatever I've done in the past she has always been there for me, and that could span from committing a felony or just yell at her and call her harsh words.

Jubril Balogun (Lagos Nigeria; Male; 32) : Mother.
Kind and adorable
So much affection.
She listens...so loveable
Time dares not test
I've seen love wane
heard of beauty …… (there is more, you can read it when he'll publish it…do read it (it is beautifully written)

Freddy Ibarra (Brownsville United States; Male; 18) : The way she sacrificed everything & suffered so much just to give me & my Brothers a better life

Angel Teukie Teukie (Jerusalem Israel; Female; 19) : Most loveable thing about my mother? Well, she's always there to support me. She always listens to what I say when I need someone to talk to... I love it when she come to me for fashion tips when she dresses for an occasion

Rajendran Muthiah: Don't say, 'I'm tired' to avoid any work or responsibility. This was the advice told me by my illiterate mother who was doing agricultural work in our fields till she was incapacitated by a stroke.

Resit desai (Mumbai/India male,36) : he also told me to read one of his poem 'A quatrain' it is a brilliant poem you shoud really read it among with other poems of him..

Kuldeep Ranga (bansur India; Male; 18) : he too told me to read one of his poem dedicated to his mother 'Real Heed' it is beautifully written...do read it if you want to experience love...

Sharad Juneja (New Delhi India; Male; 29) : hmm.... Th most beautiful thing is the smile on her face despite all odds :)

Sajna Kailas (trivandrum, kerala India; Female; 19) : Let me tell about my mom. OMG, I can write a big book about her. She is awesome. I think almost all mothers are like this.
we r five children. I am the only daughter for my mom. the four others are Boys. two brthrs r elder 4 me and two r younger to me.

the way my mom care us is incredible. her life is dedicated to us. her happiness, sorow, world, joy everything is related to us.
my school, my temple, my church, my teacher, my sister, my friend, my world everything is my mom.

she first Introduced the world to me. she taught me good things. she is not caring of what dress she is wearing, or what food she is take or what about her health but she is very caring of these things when it is upon with me.

without her I cant think a life. She is a life itself. Giving light to our home. some times a hitler when ruling our home. But that is very cute.
my mom the best. the ever beautiful and courageous I ever saw in my Life.
She is my role model and my heroine

they have been so much help... as i said before they are brilliant and kind people....thank you so much

..............salute to every mother on this planet..................

congrats on having this poem selected as poem of the day...It's a nice poem...children often remain self-involved and never try to find out who their parents really are as individuals...This poem also makes the same point, You had dreams, Beautiful dreams indeed, Unfortunate, Don't know what they were, Have no clue. So good. My mother has also been a consistent support for me amidst everything. After reading your poem i realised how sometimes we fail to return anything to her and how most of the times we break her heart forgetting her gratitude, love. (Report) Reply

Loved the read. I couldn't put in words my overwhleming joy on reading this master piece.
In this world of corruption, pollution and so so, if at all there is something pure without being polluted that is just Mothers Love!

A woman need not begget a child to be addressed as a mother. Mother Theressa without being beggeting a child has been recognised as a Mother of nation. (Report) Reply

In fact if I'm asked to give my opinion about this poem or that about a mother (as I know well both are the same thing) , She is all that you need, that you feel, that keeps you always happy like an evergreen plant and most important thing is that she values you and counts you more than anything.
To conclude the poem is superb getting all the points of a successful poem. (Report) Reply

I wonder how I missed this great work undertaken by a young girl! You have put all the elders to shame! What we failed to accomplish in a life time, you have done presumably within a short time! How much I yearned to express what all I have felt for my mother, but couldn't while she was alive which found a belated expression through my poem The Drop of a Feather! A mother is one who will never desert us, even if the whole world sacks us! She is there in life and beyond to nurture us and smile on the trifles of achievement and sigh over the simplest of our blemishes and aches! Payal.. this has left you so endearing to me! ! Kudos! !
