My Angel Poem by Juan Olivarez

My Angel

If I had wings upon my feet,
I'd fly up to the sky.
And there the other angels meet,
And ask the question, 'why? '

Why did they send you, to be with me,
What did I ever do?
To merit the angel that I see,
And the love she brought so true.

An angel on Earth living with me,
No man deserves such bliss.
Somebody upstairs answered my plea,
With a heavenly angel that I kiss.
