Music, Stars And Pain [free-Verse Poetry] Poem by James Sinclair

Music, Stars And Pain [free-Verse Poetry]

Love and music are much the same,
both ailing dreams and timpani barrage.
The smallest note,
In the smallest song,
Has more effect than the great piano.
The smallest crush,
The smallest voice,
Can still be heard amidst the roaring conscience.
Both are selfish,
Both are greedy,
But a life without either,
Is like a harp with no strings
A pen with no ink
Asentancewithoutspaces
It suffocates and draws you in
Like fire, a crimson beauty
You stare in awe at what you can never touch
Like stars just out Of Reach
Like dreams that fade...
Like love and music you hear and feel
But never touch.
They're not real.
