They should not have a Nationality on them to all people they should belong
Those three wonderful gifts of humankind known as music and dancing and song
They do not belong to any one Nation at least that's how it does seem to me
Though many Nationalists hold such things precious and with my thinking would not agree.

They belong to the soul of humanity and transcend Nationality and Race
They are things that bring people together where multicultural celebrations take place
They can heal the scars caused by mistrust when used in a positive way
For dance and for music and for song lets hear it a loud hip hooray.

When politics, patriotism and nationalism enter song, dance and music well that is a different thing
They can be used for to stir up old hatreds by those who to old grudges do cling
Such people surely not an asset to Worldwide human harmony
That music, song and dance should be used as a healer their type only would disagree.

Music, song and dance are renowned soul foods and them we ought to celebrate
But when used by negative patriotic people they can stir up old feelings of hate
But when used to bring people together well that is a different thing
And to the music of all Nations the people of all Nations do dance and sing.
