Muffle Poem by L'Angley S Delmonte

Muffle

limp&cold
like rotted plants
dirt under fingernails
goddess
tke out my bones let me

she
in the white dress with the seams you can see
disappears into the
lake you lived by
when they called

like a long abandoned home/house
dust in your
faded yellow marble glass eyes

tap tap tap tap tap tap tap
skin scritching pastthedashboard
wants to go home
sticklike spindles
face of blank paper to again face of blank paper

corked me like a bottle of
cheap wine

slip sliding down
to the garden the upholstery
dirty carpet & old plastic
love you he said

wringing his shirt likenecks
setting it down likeglass on
the bathroom floor
choke

ten different people
1
frail
body

br break
