Moving Backwards Poem by Clara Diskley

Moving Backwards

Moving backwards is confusing
Of not knowing where I'm going
Runing into a tree or tripping over my feet
Take me wherever and I'll go

Walking in the middle street
Off to a surprise when I don't know which way
I'm going
I'll feel so rebellious and clumsy and I won't care

I'm walking in circles, spinning around feeling
so happy
Stepping backwards is scary at first but after you
take that first step it's fine
I'm not afraid to go backwards, it's nice to feel like
you've got nothing to lose
