Movie Theater Poem by Nicholas Peter

Movie Theater

Film reel nostalgia,
a real funny look back.

Isn't it grand?
we can live the past for years.

From the abuse and pain,
to the elaborate break-ups and lonely drinking.

Drugs only ever hid scenes of the movie,
not giving the full Oscar winning production.

I missed my own feature flick,
I was out somewhere,
high,
trying to forget,
every little camera fixed shot.
