Mourning Dove Cry Poem by Spock the Vegan

Mourning Dove Cry

Rating: 5.0

Have you ever heard the mourning dove cry?
Noticed how they all mourn for the very same guy?

The words that they say I always will dread:
"Waldo is dead, Waldo is dead."

Nobody knows who Waldo is - he must have died hundreds of years ago. : -)

No my name isn't Waldo. Once you get the message of what they are saying, though, it can be quite annoying. We hear that call here a lot in the summertime. I think it's actually a mating call.

When I was a kid I thought they were called MORNING DOVES and wondered why I saw more of them in the evenings! You should dread them saying Waldo is dead. Your name isn't Waldo - - or is it?
