Mourn The Mastodon Poem by G, E. Gorfu

Mourn The Mastodon

Mourn the Mastodon

I mourn for thee, O! Mastodons,

The museum has a heap of bones

The curator with a clear diction

Tells visitors of your extinction…

Tell me one thing O! Mastodon

Who will mourn us when we are gone?

In some nuclear holocaust

No bones left after the blast!

G. E. Gorfu.
