Mountains Of Tibet Poem by Vonnie Postit

Mountains Of Tibet

once again
I am infinitely humbled
by the wonders of this earth
but slow silence
is not thankfulness
it's illness
show me love
and I'll tell you of peace mongers
easy Tuesday afternoons
show me living
we'll spend the next two weeks
coloring valleys purple
my expectations
were never sung simple
I received your love letter
this week
I forgot
what your voice sounded like
when you show me
beautiful things
one day
I'll repay all the borrowed peace
but before I go
I want to dance in your
dark cloud rain
washing me thankful
you've always reminded me
what it feels like to stand
lumps, bruises,
seeping valleys,
tall.
