Mother's Day Poem '06

Dress up, dolls,
A fake string of pearls,
My mother you have always
Made up my world.
My idol, my teacher,
My comrade, my friend,
Always there for heartache
And games of pretend.
Road trips, shopping
Baking cookies for Santa,
I could not have asked
For a mother better.

I want you to know
How much you mean to me
You are special, I love you
And I want you to see
I would never for the world
Trade you for another
My idol, my friend,
My teacher, my mother
