Mother Nature's Her Name Poem by Francis Duggan

Mother Nature's Her Name

She is unpredictable liable to change
And many look on her as one rather strange
And the more we learn of her the less of her we know we know
An aura of mystery around her does grow
No structure that man build can withstand her power
And before her great anger brave warriors do cower
And monarch and pauper she treats as the same
She does not respect those with money and fame
She flattens great structures and blows herself tame
Yet she is a true God Mother Nature's her name,
The giver of life and taker of life's breath
Yet indifferent to suffering and indifferent to death
On her billions of acres life sustaining crops we grow
Yet about her so little we do seem to know.
