Mother Dear Poem by Kelsea Osterman

Mother Dear

A mother should be there no matter what.
She should want to be there.
Wanting to see her child shinning.
Wanting to know that she has
Done all she can to help her child.
But that is not you.
You don't want anything to do with me.
I just want to know do
You really care when I fall and get hurt.
Do you really care that,
What you say hurts at times.
I know you are trying to make it all
Better but what if it is too late.
Who knows?
Really I don't even know
If I can accept what you want me to.
I love you I really do.
But how do I know that when
You say it you mean it.
You say so many things
That you never mean.
You let me do what I want to just
Get me to like you when really I already love you.
You don't see what I see
Nor do you want to.
You say you understand me
But really you just think you do.
I wish you were a mother who
Really helped me with all my problems.
I wish you could be the mother I need.
But it may be just too late.
I want to say that you have changed
Just in time but really I don't know.
My heart tells me no to just move on
But at the same time my heart is telling me to move on.
