Mother Poem by Elia Michael

Mother

It’s a difficult decision
To take or not to take her
I may be in for derision
If I take or not take her

Tell me if I am uncaring
I don’t want to cause her hurt
But for her age she is faring
Well and she is still alert

Though the plane journey is tiring
She’s willing to endure it
And you cannot help admiring
Her resolve and her spirit

So I will take her to Cyprus
For it may be her last time
Amid the olive and cypress
And the rosemary and thyme

This is lovely. Wanting to fulfill a Mother's last wish but yet wondering if it is the right thing to do for her health wise. Beautifully done. From the heart. Nice job!
