Mortal Poem by Mohammad Ashek Shaahid

Mortal

Rating: 5.0

She, a princess, dreams a prince;
And awaits his arrival who
rides on winds.
A prince whose father is Sun
and sea nymph his mother,
Being a mere mortal I
stopped dreaming her.

Reality interfering with what you have dreamed and desired, isn't that always the way? Enjoyed this short but poignant poem. Thank you for sharing it. RoseAnn
