Morning Shall Make Us Strong Poem by Lisa Rhodes

Morning Shall Make Us Strong

I see through your eyes, the sky
Is very beautiful. The red
Romantic stars ripple, sighing
Across trees, against striated
Leaves. 8 hungry birds dance vying
The sky, practicing, turning heads,
Singing—we love you…good bye—
Though this gate that separated
Us is picturesque, time has died.
We dream dreams above the sacred
Clock that hangs solemnly in mighty
Heaven; God shall be your sole stead.
Oceans have swallowed fears eye—
Erased futility ahead.
A new dashing wave will pass by
The cosmos and heal the bloodshed
Reeking. But listen for the bell nigh
Tolling joyously overhead—
The hour of justice comes glorified.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My mother-in-law lives in the Ukraine and lives and dreams of meeting her granddaughter in America and I wrote this poem to let her know that no matter how many gates or oceans separate us her beautiful vision and personality will appeal to the higher power to end her heartbreak. We see her love and concern in all the beauty around us and think of her everyday. In spite of the civil war and bloodshed that is around her land, she will be protected and justice will come.
