Morning Prayer Poem by Rusty Ed Gibson

Morning Prayer

When the sun mugs the morning
and I hear that coffee pot pouring
I dropp to my knees and pray

I have a talk with the good lord
For all of you I put in a good word
if you listen you can hear me say

Thanks for all you've given
and all my easy living
and all the things you kept away

Thanks for the seasons
and all the many reasons
I am glad to start again each day

I praise you and your son
For all the things you've done
and the blessings you sent our way.

Bless those Lord
That have gone before
Tell em we'll see them one day

Thank you for your grace and kindness
loving us despite our blindness
We love you each and every day

We sing your name
With nothing but praise
as we walk with you and say

Thank you Lord for your word
and all the love you give
Thank you Lord for your Son
We pray all things in him

AMEN
