Morning Meditation Poem by Eric Cockrell

Morning Meditation

breathing in,
i take in the pains of hunger,
the ache of loss,
the despair of homelessness.

breathing out,
i exhale oneness, sameness,
and peace.

breathing in,
i take in prejudice, hatred,
fear, and anger,
and the blackness of greed.

breathing out,
i exhale forgiveness,
understanding, and compassion.

Superb morning meditation. All the negativity of the world converted by the great soul inside to pure virtue. Fantastic. If just more people did it, we could slowly start breathing in the nice things as well. Very inspiring poem, Eric. Excellent
