Morning In Carbonated Light Poem by William F Dougherty

Morning In Carbonated Light

Rating: 4.8

[Moodpoems: Calendar of Correlatives]

Under a moon-dew film the farmyard swims;
dairymen yawn from their milk-fresh dreams

and print dark scuffs, charting task to task,
on the morning's frosted, suede-tongued grass:

a sun shaft astounds the flocculent haze—
the seltzer mist steams off with a fizz.
