More Than Words Poem by Chris Frando

Guide is to lead and direct
Build is to found and rear
Cruise is to drive and sail
Quit is to depart and cease.

These words have meanings
Because of my two favorite letters
We understand sound and clear
Because of the letters U and I.

Have you ever heard words like
Gide or bild, crise or Qit without U?
These are non-sense and absurd
Because U and I work together.

It is like why I need U
U are the air I breath
U are the reason I smile
U are the love I keep.

It is like why I love U
Because U give meaning to me
And because U complete me
As U and I are meant to be.
