Morals Mourn Poem by Michael Olajubu

Morals Mourn

At every corner I turn,
I watch feminine mores burn;
Lewdness winks right at my face,
I see lasses, I see disgrace.

Crop tops look chicly alright;
At all sides is a coquette in sight;
Decency groans, morals mourn,
Counsels cower to open scorn.

Mothers keep mute,
Fathers won't refute
Supple open hips and thighs
Enervating imaginations; sickening to the eyes.

Counsels cower to open scorn,
Decency groans, morals mourn;
I see lasses, I see disgrace,
Lewdness winks right at my face.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
In a bid to voice out my disgust for how crop tops, cleavages and skimpy skirts have become chicly alright and classy, gravid poem: 'Morals Mourn' was born and I hope it speaks to scruples for a change. Read and enjoy.
