Moonlit Paths Poem by Sara Javed

Moonlit Paths

Rating: 4.5

It is a silent night,
Filled only, with the murmur of the creatures of the night,
The stars, oh the stars are clustered like a bejeweled tiara,
And the moon, a comely damsel shines so brilliantly
As I walk upon the moonlit paths
Lighting up my silent world which holds only distress,
Giving me an ambition, giving me a hope
Oh, how I want to run wildly on the speckled stars,
And laugh once, like I can never
As I walk on the moonlit paths
The breeze; so calm as I breathe it in,
Everything is still with delight,
Every feature, everything lit brightly with the heavenly light,
And calling softly, my name!
As I walk on the moonlight paths
Breathing, and seeping in the beauty
Watching, and praising the brewing the magic
Smiling, at the creator of this beauty
Weeping, to see it slip from my hands
As I walk upon the moonlit paths

I can hear, the soft tranquil music,
I feel it in my own human blood,
In this beauty, I feel nameless
On this melancholy night, nature speaks itself
As I walk upon the moonlit paths
